Internal Revenue Service Form 2848, Power of Attorney and Declaration of Representative, is used to authorize an individual to represent a taxpayer before the Internal Revenue Service. The individual authorized must be an individual eligible to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. A taxpayer’s authorization of an eligible representative will also allow that individual to receive and inspect confidential tax information.

Similarly, states also grant authority to an individual to represent a taxpayer before the Department of Revenue by filing their power of attorney and to receive and inspect confidential tax information, which may include federal tax information. So, a taxpayer residing in any state can be confidently represented by Rink & Robinson, PLLC and have quality and proficient tax representation.
