Individuals at this level must have a two year associates' degree. The Administrative assistant must be familiar with general office policies and procedures. Practical knowledge of Windows based programs are required. The individual is expected to handle customer service, mail and other administrative duties. Administrative assistants should expect formal office procedure training, and use of the office equipment. The candidate must possess communication skills, both oral and written.
Individuals at this level must have a two -year accounting degree. Bookkeepers must be familiar with general office policies and procedures, and understand the operations of the firm. Knowledge of Windows based programs and QuickBooks are required. Bookkeepers are expected to apply the principles of accounting in performing a variety of accounting functions, including but not limited to, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and preparation of compiled financial statements. Bookkeepers are also expected to understand and perform all payroll functions, including processing payroll and payroll tax calculations, as well as be responsible for all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. This candidate must be a self-starter who works well independently and has a skilled ability to multi-task.
Individuals at this level must have a four -year degree with a major in accounting. Staff accountants must become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures. They must understand professional standards of accounting as well as regulatory and legal requirements. Practical knowledge of Windows based programs are required. Experience with Pro-Systems along with other accounting software packages are a plus. Staff accountants are expected to be proficient in preparing financial statements as well as corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns. The staff accountants are under the supervision of the senior accountants. Staff accountants are also expected to research tax laws and regulations, provide assistance during tax audits, and respond to notices from tax authorities. This candidate must possess strong analytical skills and be highly detail-oriented.
Individuals at this level must have a four-year degree in accounting, a minimum of two years’ experience as a staff accountant, and successfully passed the CPA exam. Senior accountants are expected to know and understand the reason behind the firm’s policies and procedures, possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants, and have the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty. Experience with Windows and Pro-Systems along with other accounting software packages are required. Senior accountants are expected to be proficient at preparing financial statements as well as corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns. Senior accountants are also expected to have a thorough and complete understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques. These individuals must assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements. These candidates must possess strong analytical and leadership skills and have the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
